Christmas trees in Turin’s Royal Palace

After Milan, I took a train to Turin and spent two nights there. This city was unfortunately quite poor when it came to Christmas Decorations, with a very tiny market I didn’t even bother to take a picture of. However, in front of the Royal Palace, there was a group of green and natural Christmas trees that I found charming. No decorations at all, besides some white lights.

When I did arrive in Turin, my body gave up a little bit. Very likely due to the temperature differences, I found indoors vs outdoors in Switzerland and in Milan, a cold took my body hostage. My head hurt slightly, my throat was aching every time I swallowed and my nose was constantly dripping. My mood wasn’t the best either to stay out until later, when there was a lights show in the city. So I’m afraid I missed that – however, from seeing the lights installations during the day, it didn’t seem that Christmassy to me.

Yet, I did find myself enjoying these Christmas trees and their simplicity was endearing.

What do you think?

Happy Holidays!

Love, Nic
